"I had conceived Prayaana labs on October 2017 after facing a lot of hardships in my professional front due to personal roadblocks, and unmanageable propositions. A relatively lower contribution of women in nation's economy provided me a strong reason to go forth with this initiative.
With the vision of creating a platform to provide the “life changing journey"" to every girl who dreams of becoming an entrepreneur, we provide a platform to all our female trainees to get equipped with adequate skills and build up a career in entrepreneurship under the guidance of a female trainer.
Prayaana is a completely woman run organisation. All the activities are managed by girls or women. At Prayaana our initiatives include mentoring for career and business opportunities, offline training events like ‘C2C Meets’ – specially designed for housewives who want to restart their career, ‘Future talks’ – which is a series of webinars hosted by esteemed professionals to inspire women and women oriented monthly magazine - the Shesight magazine. We have a community app (mobile app) to help the users connect with their peers and the professionals for guidance. We are also piloting the digital platform of Prayaana Collective – ‘Pracol' (www.pracol.com) that includes the products which are designed and created by women entrepreneurs, and makes use of affiliate marketing.
Post pandemic, we have extended the outreach to the online platforms, so as to gather more beneficiaries. We have more than 50 Fellows and ambassadors at Prayaana.
My vision is to empower 1 million women educationally and economically by 2030.
Our key mission for this year is the C2C Mission 2021. Where we are trying to help 2021 women before 2021 ends. We have on more than 100 mentors on board who will help them by providing the customized mentorship and planning in the trainings. "
