Womennovator Shriti Chhajed has always believed in the philosophy that one should try to aim to achieve bigger things in life rather than settling for small things. She believes that once this ideology is achieved name, fame and money follows. Perhaps this was the thought behind Shriti’s idea when she decided to start something big, something creative. Having been born and brought up in a business class family, she was always involved with her Dad in understanding his business and working with him. Inspired by her Dad, she always wanted to have her own venture. Hence Shriti decided to take the plunge and quit her job at Tech Mahindra and soon dared to start her own theme-based restaurant which was initiated around the idea of dating and revolved its entire marketing around youth events. However, quitting the job was a turning point and gave her the zeal to build something of her own. Her vision is to build a big consumer-facing profitable business which becomes top of the mind recall in its industry. She decided to open something different, something that no one had thought before. It all started back in 2012 when the idea of pre-booking for an event was a big unsolved problem. That is when the idea of starting a one-stop portal, which can cater all event-related services struck her mind. Thereafter, she never looked back. Formerly known as Urbanrestro, BookEventZ has today paved its way to becoming India’s leading portal for booking venues. Her company’s prime motto is to offer easier, smarter and quicker experience of booking events that too at unbelievable rates!.
