Miemaw was a response in 2016 to the failed attempts at a collection of segregated waste (dry and wet waste) from the source of waste generation—households and commercial places. Sweta conceived the idea of Miemaw during her two months stay in the USA for a summer internship. Motivated by the highly organized waste management system in the USA, she wanted to start a similar system back home in India. Sweta and Kokila Kesur started their work from Eklera in 2018 by providing waste management services. In 2019, Miemaw expanded and started its services in Surat city. After the COVID-19 pandemic, Miemaw achieved a big milestone by expanding its number of service sectors and became the World's largest Online Recommendation Platform by providing expert advice covering a wide range of topics. Now Miemaw not only covers waste management but also covers online consultation in topics like medical, physiotherapy, software development, yoga and fitness, research and development, innovative idea submission to government, career counseling, business growth, seeking investors or auditors, investment planning, risk management, and many more. By the end of 2020, Miemaw is set to provide online consultation and digital products to more than 1 million users.
