“Surprise someone with an environment friendly idea”

Womennovator Pinky Maheshwari sees herself as an ordinary girl who has some extraordinary dreams. Her dreams cater to a larger purpose in life. Her motto corresponds not just to herself but to many others out there. She aims to spread happiness in the world and make it flourish, the general concept of which is lost these days. Her efforts have always tried to capture the moments of love, togetherness, and care that are wrapped in the bylanes of memory. Her venture SURPRISE SOMEONE is an attempt to take this bright idea forward and bring smiles with being a women empowerment tool alongside. The innovative mind of Pinky has created an out of the box idea of making recycled handmade paper, and the most interesting part about this initiative is that the recycled paper is created out of cotton rags which throws out the older concept of cutting down trees and makes it an environmentally friendly step. Another break through the idea that comes as a surprise is that Surprise Someone is making seeded paper which grows into plants when they become unusable and planted into soil. Not only this, the women brigade at SURPRISE SOMEONE have shown their mettle and creativity by designing beautiful paper boxes and bags as well. Recently selected as one of the top 50 startups in India, her initiative got an incredible exposure when the pieces of work from Surprise Someone got displayed at IITF, Pragati Maidan. Now a government certified startup and recognized by DIPP, her idea is soon about to grow to immense heights. Her creative mind hasn’t rested and given birth to another breakthrough and interesting idea called SEED pencils has been highly appreciated by #StartupIndia and #InvestIndia. 100% bio-degradable and made from recycled handmade paper these pencils instead of an eraser have seed capsules at one end. The capsule contains one of several varieties of plants — herbs like basil or rosemary, flowers like marigolds or roses, vegetables like green peppers, and so on that can be planted into the soil after the pencil has been used up completely.
