And that’s how progressive is Shilpi when she decided to design clothes from waste fabric materials. She used to make gorgeous cushion covers, wall pieces, skirts and other garments. After she was done with her college, she joined a private insurance company. After that, she worked for eight years in the banking sector. The destiny hit her hard when she lost both of her parents in 2015. That was a turning point in her life when a sudden realization dawned on her that doing something for which one is not really passionate is a sheer wastage. Then, she decided to open her own company of designing garments from waste fabric material. She employed around four women as labour to take the waste material to home and make hair accessories from them. Her vision is to create such a huge scope into this line of business so that she can create more employment opportunities for women like her. She also wants to sell her stock internationally soon. Presently operating online as well, Womennovator Shilpi is striving for better condition for women with better work opportunities and a better future.
